LEAD with Pride Program
The LEAD with Pride Program focuses on leadership topics relevant to the LGBTQ+ community. By volunteering with community organizations that serve the LGBTQ+ community, students will learn more about how to be a more inclusive, compassionate and empathetic leader or ally. This program is open to all students, regardless of identity affiliation.
Students who complete this program will be able to:
- Demonstrate awareness of social and political issues that affect the LBGTQ+ community
- Demonstrate an understanding of personal identity using an intersectional approach
- Demonstrate the ability to display empathy toward others
- Express their personal values, passions, and individual style of leadership
- Engage in difficult conversations and respect diverse perspectives
Program Requirements:

- Enroll in LDR Course:
- LDR 2262 (1 cr, online)
- 20 Hours of Service
- Online Readings and Discussion Boards
- LDR 3905 (0 cr, independent study)
- 15 Hours of service
- Biweekly seminars
- Social Change Research Project
- LEAD Scholars Social Change Showcase
- Attend 2 Impact events
- Attendance at program-specific events
- Minimum 3.0 GPA to stay in program
- LDR 2262 (1 cr, online)
