Virginia Albaneso Koch has been a leader, educator, and author in higher education for more than three decades at public and private institutions. A first-generation student from Ohio’s Appalachian region, Dr. Koch earned a BA in Sociology/Anthropology from the University of Akron, a MA in student personnel services from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD in higher education from Loyola University Chicago. Dr. Koch and her husband are active in their Catholic parish and enjoy mentoring young people as therapeutic foster parents and host parents to international high school students.
