Emma Coffman

Peer Mentor

Hello, out there! My name is Emma Coffman, and I’m honored to be one of your Peer Mentors this semester. I’m in my second year at UCF and have a junior class standing. I aspire to become a dentist and one day participate in medical and Christian missionary work. To get closer to this goal, I’m majoring in Health Sciences on the Pre-Clinical Track and minoring in Leadership Studies. I grew up in Central Florida in a town shaped by its rolling hills and countless lakes, known as Clermont. Being so close to major cities like Orlando and Tampa, my family and I would always find something fun to do on the weekends. One of my favorite activities that I continue to do is visiting various Asian grocery stores to pick up goodies.

Some other things about me are my hobbies of trying and perfecting new recipes in the kitchen, reading fantasy books, binge-watching anime, and befriending stray animals wherever I go. If I’m on campus, you’ll likely find me helping at the LEAD Lounge front desk or hustling to my next class. I’ll probably be listening to music with my head in the clouds, but if you ever see me, you’re welcome to signal me down and say hi. I love hearing about the experiences that shape people as unique individuals and look forward to sharing stories with all of you!
