Dr. Debra Edgar, Ed.D., CCC-SLP is a Speech Language Pathologist and an Adjunct Lecturer for the LEAD Scholars Academy, Department of Health Sciences, the School of Communication Sciences & Disorders, and the College of Community Innovation & Education at the University of Central Florida for over 25 years.  She has also taught English Composition at Valencia College & Multicultural Healthcare at Rollins College. Dr. Edgar is the Coordinator of Brain Fitness Academy and the founder and director of Quality Telepractice, her private practice that provides Speech & Cognitive Therapy services remotely. With her Florida & California SLP License and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certification, she has extensive experience in a variety of settings including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, private practice, public schools, and outpatient clinic settings.

Dr. Edgar holds her Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Masters & Bachelors of Arts Degree in Communication Disorders, and a Professional Writing Certificate. She is the author of several peer-reviewed research publications as well as her book, Save Your Memory. She has extensive experience in all aspects of teaching, treating, and supervision in healthcare across the lifespan. Whether spending time with her family, teaching at the university, mentoring graduate clinicians, encouraging loved ones, or working side-by-side with those with memory loss, Debra’s goal is to make a difference regardless of distance.
