How are you involved in the UCF and Orlando community?
As a member of the LEAD Scholars Academy and the President’s Leadership Council, I have had numerous volunteering opportunities that have allowed me to serve the community, mostly in the hunger and homeless focus. These organizations have also allowed me to improve and hone my leadership skills with leadership positions within these groups. I have been able to voice my opinions as well as issues that have arisen to those with connections to Interim President Seymour to effect change at UCF. An Alternative Break Program Trip I attended one winter break led me to impacting those homeless in Nashville Tennessee.
What are your goals after you graduate?
Upon graduation, I plan to move to Virginia to teach at an elementary school. I hope one day to attend graduate school to earn my masters in Educational Leadership so I can become a school principal and improve the schools I am assigned to.
